I've been running for about a year. After putting my foot in my mouth at a family gathering, I promised my wife's grandmother that I would complete Boston in the next year - so the challenge has begun.

My marathon training is shutting down today. The past two weeks, the pain in my lower right shin/ankle has continued to worsen. Last night, I tried to play a little basketball and it felt like someone was hitting me with a hammer as I ran back and forth.

Hopefully I can resume running sooner than later, but until I have clearance from a doctor. I’m going to stay clear of running.

This is truly sad, Jon. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better real soon and you are back in action before you thought you would be...

I hope this doesn't mean that the blog will be on hiatus.
